Ang Iyong Gabay

Ang Iyong Gabay is a 72-card oracle deck in Tagalog. Think of it as a Magic 8 Ball in card form: ask a question, draw a card, and let one of 72 Tagalog root words answer. The cards do not predict the future. They do not warn of impending danger either. Take each word in and interpret as you see fit.

If oracle cards aren’t your thing, the deck doubles as flashcards for learning Filipino. These 72 basic root words can get you understanding the language in no time.

This deck was born out of my love for all things words: what they mean, what they invoke, how they sound, and ultimately what they communicate. Tagalog words are lovely, often carrying more emotion than the English translation, if there even is one. (Hello, Kilig.)
